Matera
Through a camera lens, the Matera cityscape and landscape will appear to you in an original, poetic and theatrical light.
A photographic workshop in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Photography, during which you can explore and lose yourself in the city streets, searching for a stage on which to capture the subjects of your personal work.
THE TEACHER
CAMILLA FERRARI
A photographer and visual artist, her work explores the ambiguity of perception, the eloquence of silence and the poetry of everyday life. A Canon ambassador, her portfolio includes articles in major publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, D - La Repubblica and Domus.
Develop your inner eye
Through a technical and theoretical overview of photography, you will have all the essential tools to develop your personal photographic vision and explore new expressive solutions.
Focus the lens
You will delve into photographic genres such as reportage, portrait and street photography; a useful focus for approaching shooting sessions and for following the concept around which the entire workshop will revolve.
Frame your scene
Matera will be the stage where you wander around, searching for a creative impulse: you will be able to lose yourself in the streets winding through the city, experimenting with slow, observational photography, waiting for the arrival on the scene of the protagonists of your photographic tale.
Get expert advice
At the end of the workshop, you will participate in a final session to share and comment on the shots taken. You will be able to select the images that are most significant to you and receive tips and advice on post-production from the teacher.
