Focus on the beauty of the Dolomites.

BOOK YOUR EXPERIENCE

17-20 JULY
28-31 AUGUST

Explore the natural and cultural heritage of the Dolomites with your camera and rediscover the indissoluble bond between mountains and human beings.

A photographic workshop in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Photography, in the valleys and peaks of the Puster Valley, during which you can develop a story through images, tracing the dialogue between nature and human presence.

THE TEACHER

VALENTINA TAMBORRA

A professional photographer and a freelance journalist, Valentina Tamborra likes to mix narrative and image in her work, mainly focusing on reportage and portraits. She has been published in the leading Italian media – Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, La Repubblica, Il Manifesto – and collaborates with NGOs and national and international organisations such as AMREF, Doctors Without Borders, Emergenza Sorrisi and the Italian Red Cross. An IIF teacher, she gives lectures and workshops at Italian universities and academies.

Find your viewpoint

In an initial introductory step, you will receive a theoretical and technical overview of photography from the teacher, useful tools to help you find your way on your photographic journey through the trails of the Dolomites.

Eyes on the summit

Special attention will be paid to mountain photography and its main characteristics, which you will explore in a dedicated lecture at LUMEN, the Mountain Photography Museum at Plan de Corones.

Mountains with no filter

Explore the landscapes of the Dolomites and develop your own personal photographic narrative: starting with the instructions provided by the teacher, you will be able to capture the nuances of the ancestral relationship that links the mountains to human presence.

Back to the valley with expert advice

In the final session of the workshop, you will be able to share your best shots with the teacher and your fellow travellers, receive some final tips and get valuable guidance on editing.
