Step onto the stage of Musicultura, the festival dedicated to new contemporary popular music and songwriting.

WORDS IN MUSIC

Some of Italy’s most promising singer-songwriters have emerged from the Musicultura selections. Once again this year, an artistic committee made up of leading cultural figures (including Claudio Baglioni, Carmen Consoli, Giorgia, Dacia Maraini, Vasco Rossi and Sandro Veronesi) will select, together with a jury and the public, the eight finalists who will perform in the Sferisterio Arena on the final evenings.

THE SFERISTERIO ARENA AS A PARTICIPANT

You will experience the Sferisterio Arena, one of the most spectacular venues for open-air performances, from an original perspective: from reserved access to the evocative gallery for an aperitif, to a guided tour with teacher and writer Lucia Tancredi, and participation in one of the festival’s final evenings with accommodation in the central boxes.

The visit with an expert

Today a theater and the stage for Musicultura, the Sferisterio is a wonderful example of neoclassical architecture, born in 1823 to host not only shows but also sporting events like the game of "pallone col bracciale". You will learn about its history in a guided tour by Lucia Tancredi, a literature professor, expert in music and Macerata's culture.

The show continues

At the conclusion of the two festival evenings, you will have access to Casa Musicultura, to participate in the event reserved for its protagonists, in the green gardens of the Sferisterio, alongside the professionals, guests and competing artists.

Music is served

A special lunch in the splendid setting of Palazzo Buonaccorsi, based on music. Donpasta - DJ, economist, gastronomy enthusiast and one of the most inventive food activists - will perform in a live cooking and music show, that will make you explore the sounds, smells and colors of the kitchen, between taste and sound.

Le Parole delle Canzoni

Within the framework of the Controra, the festival that enlivens the historical center of Macerata during the final phase of Musicultura, Le Parole delle Canzoni awaits you: a format created by Treccani in which musicians and singers analyze the lyrics and meanings of their pieces together with female and male writers, discussing the evolution of the Italian language through music.
